The former Liverpool trainee, 22, will now set his sights on making the right back spot his own after back to back appearances following Cliff Byrne's move to centre-back
"He's the right character that we want to have, because we want people to flourish and develop," the Iron manager Nigel Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
"He's certainly got an opportunity to go and do that now. He's a good football player who has been waiting patiently for an opportunity."
