Winnall has been a revelation for Scunthorpe since arriving on a free transfer from Wolves in the summer.
The 22-year-old has scored nine goals this season and his progress has not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid with the forward earning himself a reputation as one of the best finishers in the lower leagues.
Winnall is out of contract at the end of the season and Sky Sports beleive that a number of Championship and League One sides are thought to be weighing up moves for the player in the January transfer window.
The Iron do have the security option of a further year at the end of his current deal.
