Walters joined the Tigers in February, after impressing on loan from Bolton, but has found first-team opportunities at the KC Stadium limited.
The club are still hoping to bring another striker into the club before the weekend, with boss Brian Laws refusing to comment on speculation that former loanee Andy Keogh is the target.
