Steve Torpey, Paul Hayes and Peter Beagrie have all score two goals each - and Laws reckons there is much more to come.
It looks like the loss of last season's top scorer Martin Carruthers to Macclesfield will not be having a negative impact on the Iron's goals for column - and they have promisng Rangers forward Steve McLean to come off the banch when needed.
Laws told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "Potentially I feel we are a much better team going forward this season than we were last.
"The current front two of Steve Torpey and Paul Hayes are both far better at holding the ball up for us than Martin Carruthers whose game was all about running and playing in front of his strike partner.
"But Torps and Hayes are looking a formidable partnership. They are looking exciting and are very difficult to mark."
