The Swans defeated Coventry 2-1 on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Darren Pratley and Scott Sinclair, but they did concede their first home goal of the season when Ben Turner smashed home following a corner.
"There are moments we can pick out to improve on. But we are learning our lessons which is important," said Rodgers.
"We have a good home record and that's three wins in a row here. But we have to continue doing the right things without the ball as well as with it.
"It's about building on this by beating Scunthorpe on Saturday."
Rodgers is hoping to add another striker to his squad before the weekend's game.
