The Welsh side suffered a shock home loss to the Robins, with Leon Knight' strike a mere consolation after goals from Kayode Obejayi and Grant McCann.
They visit Glanford Park on Tuesday, wanting to get some points on the board quickly.
"It was a disappointing result and we didn't get going mainly because our passing was too long but still we never deserved to lose the game," said an unhappy Jackett.
"Going forward we did well but we failed to make use of the space on the pitch.
"Overall this was a poor performance by us but we had a lot of chances and opportunities and I cannot be happy at losing at home.
"The result had nothing to do with last season, because we were poor in certain areas but once again the crowd were magnificent.
"No games are easy and there were certain aspects that we will be concentrating on next week in training."
