The centre-back, 22, is out-of-contract at the Hatters in the summer and the club would be tempted to sell the player in the January transfer window if they could secure what they consider a fair transfer fee.
Phil Sproson, the player’s agent who was clearly trying to increase interest in his player, said he expects Raynes to leave Edgley Park before the start of next season.
“Scunthorpe have shown a little bit of interest and there are a number of clubs keeping tabs on Michael,” he told Sky Sports.
“I think with Stockport’s financial situation they would consider cashing in on him in January if the right offer comes along.”
