The Basque midfielder, who wrote himself into Iron folklore on May 29th 1999 by scoring the goal which secured the club promotion from the third division in a warm Wembley sun, says that he wants a longer deal to stay.
He told BBC Radio Humberside tonight that the lenght of contract offered to him makes him feel undervalued, and he would be prepared to move elsewhere for a longer deal.
Should the club not now offer him a two year deal the board can expect a rough ride from supporters, as the fan favourite has been a vital cog in the side this season.
