The 20-year-old has scored 13 times for The Iron this term following his switch from Stoke City last summer.
He said of his goalscoring exploits: "My form has been steady, but I'm not surprised, not at all.
"If anything I don't think I've done as well as I could have done. I set targets, but not in the public domain. I've got my own targets and I'm not anywhere near where I want to be.
"I've always demanded 100 per cent, which I give, but I also demand a lot more quality of play than I'm showing.
"I never think I've arrived and am at the best of my game. I still think this year there's another 20 per cent to come from me.
"That comes with playing games and kicking on. I want to play every minute of every game, that's just the way I am."
