Baraclough, 39, has been trying to bring in an experienced forward on loan - but has struggled to convince players to move to Glanford Park, and to convince clubs in the top two divisions to release players until the next international break.
"Clubs don't want to let their men out because they want to see themselves through to this international break, I've been indicated from a few managers that they want to get through to the break see where they are and asses the squad from there," he told BBC Radio Humberside.
"That seems to be the consensus, so we have to be patient and wait until their managers say we can have them. It won't be for want of trying, it's just breaking down barriers and getting players to come here. We've got a decent squad, we just need two or three more."
