Morrison to undergo fifth operation

The young player suffered a double compound fracture following a late
Fifth Operation
challenge by Grimsby defender Ben Chapman.

He will now have metal plates removed from his legs, after a visit to the surgeon revealed the start of an infection, even though they were only placed in his leg five weeks ago.

"It's a bit of a shock as I was not expecting another operation so soon but the metal would have had to come out eventually," said Morrison.

"Fingers crossed, this will be the last operation I need and I'm hoping that I will be able to start some jogging soon."

Club physio Nigel Adkins remains confident that Peter will be able to return to pre-season training at the start of July.
