The Dons lost 3-2 at Blackpool on Saturday, and Wilson reckons his side - who are now rooted to the bottom of the League One table - had created enough chances to win at Bloomfield Road.
He said: "We had enough chances in that game to bury any team.
"We give defenders grief when they're at fault so the strikers are going to have to take some for missing their chances.
"It's bad finishing, not being professional enough, and we were worse than the Dog and Duck."
One man who has underperformed for the controversial 'franchise' side this season is striker Izale McLeod.
McLeod hit three goals in his first two games before a dislocated shoulder put him out of action for three weeks, and he has failed to hit form since his return to action.
Wilson added: "I think Izale has shown flashes again of what he can do, but he can do better than that.
"I want him back to how he was at the beginning of the season, bright and bubbly and getting behind defenders."
