The 34-year-old played a major part in leading United to promotion and to their first season in the Championship for 43 years.
The skipper has made 109 appearances for United since joining from Oxford in 2004, scoring 12 times.
Speaking to the clubs official website, Crosby said: "Saturday marks a personal milestone as I play my 700th first team game.
"I hope that I'll play a few more yet, but it's particularly pleasing after I was released as a youngster at Leeds as an 18-year-old to go on and play this many games.
"To reach such a milestone is very pleasing, but Saturday is really all about us getting three points."
