He told the Glasgow Evening Times: "Scunthorpe have a nice stadium and it looks as though the club are going places.
"Obviously I will need to discuss the matter with Alex McLeish, but I'm pretty hopeful a deal can be arranged.
"I'd be happy to go to Scunthorpe if Rangers feel it's a good move for me".
