Saturday's goalless draw with Colchester at Glanford Park moves United onto 51 points, and keeps them eight clear of the relegation zone.
Laws reckons one more win would put to bed any lingering relegation fears.
He said: "One more win would relieve everyone here. It's scary and the quicker we get a win the better.
"We've learned a lot this year, adapted well and we are a better side for it."
Colchester boss Phil Parkinson felt that Billy Clarke's late goal should have stood, and will review the match video.
He said: "We felt it was a perfectly good goal but we'll have a good look at the video.
"We hope the referee's assistant got it right because it was a big moment in the game."
