Laws: We must get through first

The Iron threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 in round one at Gigg Lane but despite being handed a potential second-round tie with non-league Aldershot, Laws reckons his players' minds should be entirely focused on the replay with the Shakers.

Laws said: "On paper it looks like we've a nice path through to the third round, but we've the small hurdle of beating Bury first.

"We're disappointed looking back on Saturday, giving away a two-goal lead which was helped by the referee awarding them a penalty.

"I still don't know what it was for but it changed the game. One minute we were comfortable, the next we are under pressure and almost lost the game.

"The replay won't be easy and we're still some way off looking ahead to the third round."

The replay at Glanford Park is scheduled for next Tuesday evening, leaving United just 48 hours to recover from Sunday's televised League One clash at Blackpool.

The match at Bloomfield Road, with a 4pm kick-off, will be screened live on Sky Sports 1.

Bury are due to play their League Two fixture at Mansfield on Friday, giving the Lancashire side an extra 48 hours to recover.
