Laws: Hayes is going nowhere

Tabloid reports over the weekend suggested that Brighton and Hove Albion, Bristol City, Blackpool, Huddersfield Town and Doncaster Rovers had all been keeping a beady eye on the in-form youngster.

Although several scouts have been spotted in the stands at games recently, Laws insists that no-one has made an approach for 21-year-old Hayes.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "We have an open policy at this club and if we receive an offer on any player they will be made aware of it.

"But in this case, there is nothing to say, and even if there was we do not want to sell Paul Hayes."
