Barcham has been largely out of form this campaign, despite a solid season last time around where he finished the Iron's top scorer.
"I can only go off what I know and there's nobody made contact with myself or anybody else at this football club," Laws said.
Laws added that Barcham has a big part to play in the second half of the season at Glanford Park.
"Andy's got a major part to play this year.
"He's not been as clinical as he has been. He's capable of scoring goals, he just hasn't managed to do that this year for one reason or another. We need to get that out of him.
"Everything else he's doing, he's doing well – i.e. the work ethic, he's working extremely hard going forward, as he is going back to help defend".
