He said: "I thought we were superb. We attacked everything and we seemed to have got our confidence back.
"This was just the sort of performance I wanted all round, a battling one with a bit less football, but a clean sheet and three points.
"It was a patched-up team, but I always believe that whoever comes in, they will always pull the stops out for us.
"They may only be a small squad but they are all reliable players and when they do pull a shirt on they give 100 per cent for this club."
Kidderminster manager Ian Britton was far from happy with the performance shown by his players in the game.
He said: "It's not about ability it's about showing bottle, commitment and desire, but if we don't show more of those qualities it's going to be a long hard season.
"We started the second half well and had built up a good head of steam. Once the sprinklers came on it went downhill from there.
"I was not sent off for what I said, I was sent-off for kicking the ball away in frustration after the water came on.
"I thought we would lose our grip on the game after that and it proved to be the case.
"Our keeper has not had a lot to do, but the first thing he had to deal all night, he couldn't manage it."
