The 19-year-old forward played twice for Don Givens’ side this week, in a 1-1 draw with Madeira and then again in a 2-1 win over Finland - his first taste of u-21 action.
Laws told PA Sport: “It certainly will help him progress as being involved with the Under-21’s is great recognition for him and he's very pleased about it.
“But the most important thing is he didn’t pick up an injury and he’ll be back to play for us against Swansea. We hope he’ll be the catalyst for us.
“It’s great for the player and for the club, it’s what we want for our players.”
