The match with 14th-placed Rovers will be the beginning of a sequence that sees the Iron face four out of their next six games at home.

United have drawn on five consecutive occasions in the league but Laws insists that Saturday's game provides his side with a perfect opportunity to end that streak and register their first win since mid-December as they look to move up the league table.

"It is a fantastic game - great for the players and the great for the supporters," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"We are really up for it and the players were talking about it as soon as the Bristol City game finished.

"We will work really hard during the week. We are training at midday everyday to make sure that the players are ready and prepared for a 12noon kick-off because sometimes players aren't mentally tuned in - but we will be."
