United lead 2-0 thanks to early strikes from Andy Keogh and Billy Sharp, but the vistors took a more aggressive stand and scored four times before Sharp got a consolation goal

Laws said : "I am not making excuses. We had a makeshift side out, not the one I had planned, but this is a slide we don't want to continue.

"We must not panic, and we have to call upon our experienced players to get us back on track. There was some kamikaze defending.

"It was a great game for the neutrals, our strikers are scoring and we should have had more, but we were too wide open.

"Yeovil have never been good at defending and when we went two up, which was a great start, I sensed if we did not tighten up we would be caught because it was so open ended.

"They gave us no time to settle and if you concede four goals at home you don't deserve to win."

Yeovil's Steve Thompson said: "I am delighted with the win. Everybody did their job but we shall have to analyze their three goals which all came from close range.

"I'm also enjoying doing the job, it's a great experience facing the emotions and the ups and downs. I'm giving everything to the job.

"I'm very pleased with the support from the board, players and the fans and I've been given no time limit on the position."
