The Arsenal midfielder is a key part of the England U19 side who will take on Ukraine in Donetsk to be crowned European U19 champions.
Lansbury, 18, played 21 times for the Iron last season after joining at the end of the transfer window, but where he will play this season remains unclear.
He is a target for the Iron manager Nigel Adkins but his parent club are believed to want to see him in pre-season training before deciding if he should spend the year with them or back out on loan.
Lansbury to challenge for European title
He has scored three goals during the tournament, including the equalising goal in Thursday's semi-final win over France.
The young Three Lions will have extra motivation going into the match, with the coach Brian Eastick hoping for a victory to dedicate to the memory of former England senior coach Sir Bobby Robson who died on Friday.
Eastick was academy director at Newcastle United during Robson's time as manager of the Magpies.
"If we are fortunate enough to win this marvellous trophy it would be in tribute to him," he said.
"He was a fantastic coach for England and out more successful coach abroad. He was really passionate about English football and always wanted England to do well."
