Club officials were due to meet with planning consultants on Thursday to discuss redevelopments at the site.
"It is imperative that we develop our existing site to its maximum potential," said a statement on the club's official website.
"The football club is a valuable community asset and we hope to work closely with North Lincolnshire Council in order to achieve the best results in the community."
