Speaking to the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph today Kilford revealed that he has already worked alongside Brian Laws and Peter Beagrie, and is looking forward to his spell at Glanford Park.
He is here for a month, with his agent playing his wages for that period, as he tries to either win himself a deal with United or impress another club.
"I want to help Scunthorpe get out of the third division. I have played three or four seasons in this division and hope to bring some experience to the team," he said.
"I have only met the lads briefly and they seem a good bunch, it is a young squad.
"Now I have seen what they can do, they look like they can achieve something."
