The 19-year-old is the man of the moment at Glanford Park, with his match-clinching strike in the 3-1 win at Gillingham on Saturday taking his goal tally to 14 for the season.
With regular strike partner Billy Sharp missing for at least a month through injury the onus now falls on the Irish U-21 international to help fire the Iron to safety.
"I just want to score in every game, although I do think that 20 goals are achievable," Keogh told BBC Radio Humberside.
"I wouldn't be disappointed if I didn't achieve it because I have had such a good season - but it would really top it off if I could get there."
