Wolves The midlands club have money to spend following businessman Steve Morgan's takeover, and Sharp is their top target. The chance to renew his partnership with Andy Keogh could sway Sharp, and Wolves can now match United's asking price of £2million plus add-ons following Morgan's injection of cash.

West Brom Beaten in the Championship play-off final, the Baggies will be expecting to challenge for promotion again next season. But if Sharp was to relocate to the Black Country, surely the draw of working with Keogh again would be too much.

Scunthorpe United Sharp is happy at Glanford Park, if there's one thing that is over-riding in all the talk it is that the player himself is enjoying his football and the adulation that comes from his success. He won't rush to any decision, and knows that if he impresses for the Iron next season he would attract interest from Premiership clubs.

Norwich Arguably a step-up from Glanford Park, but in truth if Sharp is to leave United this summer it will be to a side which has more chance of winning promotion to the top flight. For that reason we reckon a move to the Canaries is less likely than him staying put.

Preston North End Manager Paul Simpson says the Deepdale outfit have been priced out of a bid, but they may renew their interest if David Nugent moves to the Premiership for big bucks.

Sheffield Wednesday Brian Laws says he is over-priced. The same Laws who took Sharp on trial, then decided against buying him, then a year later only wanted him on loan but was forced into a purchase because Neil Warnock wouldn't loan him out again. Bye Laws, don't waste our time with ridiculous under-priced bids again.
