It follows Tuesday night's horrendous 3-0 home loss to Preston, in which the fans called for Baraclough to be sacked.
"The club would like to thank Ian for his hard work and dedication over a six year period as a player, first team coach and latterly as manager," said a statement from the Iron.
"The board would like to wish Ian, Kevin and Steve all the very best for the future."
The club will announce later on Wednesday who will take over as caretaker.
