The Scunthorpe Telegraph has reported today that Adkins is looking to secure the services of a midfield player, who is likely to be Michael Woods when the Chelsea youth side return from a pre season tour of Malaysia.
Woods, 18, joined Chelsea from Leeds United in 2006 and the Lilywhites chairman accused the London giants of tapping up the 16 year old scholar.
He made his first Chelsea appearance in the FA Cup against Macclesfield, aged just 16years and 275 days old. He is yet to make his Premiership bow, but is highly rated at Stamford Bridge.
