Iron chasing Huddersfield defender Mirfin

Mirfin was left out of the Terrier's side that drew with Stockport on Saturday, and the Iron manager Nigel Adkins confirmed to the Scunthorpe Telegraph that he has been in touch with the Yorkshire club over the defender.

"We have made an enquiry about David Mirfin, but we have made enquiries about a number of players" said the United boss.
