Nigel Adkins is keen to hang on to his prize asset and insisted that Hoopers' agent has indicated that the player would like to open contract talks with the club.
He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "There have been no inquiries for Gary at all - and his agent has even indicated that he is very happy with his development here at Scunthorpe United and they would be interested in starting negotiations to increase his contract."
