Hayes tribunal given September date

The Iron have turned down three offers from the Tykes so far as they look for a six-figure fee. A venue for the tribunal is yet to be decided.

Boss Brian Laws told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "It's disappointing that we have to wait until September for the tribunal, but there is nothing we can do about it.

"The chairman has told me there is some money to spend now if I feel I need it.

"I am monitoring the situation, but it's being done in a calm way, there is no need for panic."

Laws may add one more face to the squad before the season opener at Brentford a week on Saturday.
