Two players have been confirmed as having the illness, with three more suspected cases.
There had been fears that the outbreak was the highly contagious mumps, but these have now been allayed.
A Football League spokesman said: "Kidderminster have been in touch with our fixtures department and it would now appear the virus is not as serious as mumps. Therefore, there should be no impact on the fixture."
With two players suspended and four out through injury, the Harriers have only 16 fit professionals available to them for Saturday's League game at Glanford Park.
Club physio Jim Conway said: "It's very much a case of sitting and waiting to see what happens next.
"We're hoping that the five players who have been identified will be the only ones to contract the illness, but unfortunately we won't know exactly what the situation is for the next couple of weeks.
"We are in constant contact with out club doctor, who is keeping us advised on what we should be doing."
