Laws said: "Today we were outfought and that was disappointing.
"We talked about what we can expect from Lincoln. One thing we always underlined was that they work extremely hard - what they lack in ability they certainly don't lack in endeavour and this is one area I felt let us down today.
"We showed no spark, fight or aggression, the players can't mix and we were outfought.
"Now we need some reaction from our next two league games which are away, but supporters need to see some real hard graft at home."
His Lincoln counterpart, Keith Alexander, was a happy man. He said: "I'm delighted with the win, but disappointed with our discipline. The referee got most things right, but we deserved the success."
