The clash with Scotland was due to be played at York City's Kit Kat Crescent, but the site had to be abandoned on Friday morning as the pitch was waterlogged.
But Scunthorpe were happy to put on the showpiece event at Glanford Park, with England claiming the title with a 2-1 win.
"All parties have done really well and we are indebted to Scunthorpe United for such a quick turnaround on this one," said Swain.
"It's full marks for everyone because it's ended up being a really good atmosphere with a great surface to play on and a nice little stadium for the boys to experience."
