FA Cup Third Round results

Lee Mills needed just over a minute to five Conference club Telford the lead at Gresty Road yesterday, heading home his 13th goal of the season from a Fitzroy Simpson cross.

The minnows held on for the remaining 89 minutes thanks to dogged defending, poor finishing and a bit of luck.

Kidderminster Harriers were moments away from a famous win over Premiership Wolves, with a last minute equaliser from Alex Rae earning the visitors a replay at Molineux.

Second Division Blackpool were also denied a lucrative replay against Premiership side Portsmouth, Yakubu Ayehbeni's scrambled goal in stoppage time saw the South Coast side through to the Fourth Round.

All three non-league sides avoided defeat, with Accrington Stanley and Scarborough earning replays against Colchester and Southend respectively.

Yeovil Town were denied a creditable draw against Liverpool, with late goals from Emile Heskey and Danny Murphy seeing the Reds through.
