The pitch is in good condition, and although other games across the country were postponed because of fears over supporter safety the Rams insisted Derby was fine for Iron fans to travel.
"As always, supporter safety has been paramount in the decision making process," they said.
They also said turnstiles would open from 1pm to allow supporters into Pride Park.
Heavy snow and sub-freezing conditions have all but wiped out the country's fixtures, with only three Championship fixtures, two Premier League games and two League One matches still due to be played as of 10.20am. All League Two games were postponed.
