The club stated the ticket office would be open until 4pm on Friday, but announced at lunch time sales would end at 2.30pm and remaining tickets would be returned to Grimsby.
No tickets are on sale at Blundell Park tomorrow and fans without tickets should not travel.
The Iron had less than 100 tickets left when sales closed.
