The player signed an improved contract last week and though he should pull through, Nathan Stanton will be on standby.
Laws told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "Andy couldn't remember much about the game in the dressing room afterwards.
"He fell awkwardly on his neck and shoulder and was slightly concussed.
"We have had him checked over and everything seems to be all right.
"But Andy was not able to train on Monday, and we are keeping a close watch on him over the next couple of days."
