The Robins fought back from two goals down for a draw at Ashton Gate, with Bond understandably frustrated.
"But considering City's excellent home record, it was a great point for us," he insisted.
"I didn't think they looked like scoring until we switched off at one long ball and allowed them to get in behind us.
"Obviously, when you have been two goals up there is some disappointment at only getting a draw.
"But I thought the team put in a tremendous performance against very good opposition so I can't be too unhappy."
