Beckford netted his first goal for Scunthorpe in the 3-0 win over Millwall, in only his second game after joining on loan from Leeds United.
And with the Iron looking for someone to partner Billy Sharp, with his previous strike partner Andy Keogh sold to Wolves last week, Beckford insists he is the man.
"We are giving each other that little bit of confident in training, and our understanding appears to be telepathic," said the 20-year-old about playing alongside the division's top scorer Sharp.
"It is like he knows exactly what I'm goingo to do, and I know exactly what he's going to do. Everything seems to be well with the partnership.
"Hopefully we will be able to carry it on, and so far it has been really, really good."
Beckford looks set to spend the rest of the season at Glanford Park, and the youngster is hopefully of celebrating promotion in the summer - possibly bypassing his parent club.
"I do feel confident we'll get promoted to the Championship, and hopefully I wil still be a part of Scunthorpe United," he said.
"My home debut was marked by a goal, and hoepfully I will be able to get another one when we play Bristol City next Monday."
