"I have only just started walking on it but it has healed really well, a lot of credit has to go to Nige (Adkins) really," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph today.
"When I come back hopefully I will be fit and flying, but it is a huge disappointment to miss out against Leeds.
"With Bradford I enjoyed a couple of big derbies against them, and scored as well."
Beags is now able to use the treadmill and rower again, and will be stepping up his training to include jogging and running work in about three weeks time.
