Barnet have rejected bids from two Championship clubs, with Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins admitting he is interested in signing the player.
Now the London side have reluctantly agreed to place the youngster on the transfer list.
Club spokesman Dennis Signy said: "Albert's an exciting young player who's made an impact from day one at the end of January when he made a fairytale Football League debut away to Hereford United and scored.
"He's intimated that he wants to leave and, as the chairman and the manager have made it clear that we don't have to sell players, he then put in a written transfer request.
"He remains a Barnet player, but if the right deal is offered to us and the deal is also right for Albert, he'll go with our best wishes."
