Balmer could be set for exit door

Balmer received a red card for foul and abusive language in the final minute of the game at Feethams, and the on-loan central defender will serve a two match ban.

With Brian Laws struggling to find a fit defender at the club, with James Cotterill and Mark Jackson both still weeks from a return, Balmer may find his loan spell not being extended as BL looks elsewhere for temporary cover.

"I'm going to have to ask the chairman yet again to probably seriously have a look a that, because certainly Stuart Balmer is not going to be any use to us with a two or three match ban," confirmed Laws today to BBC Radio Humberside.
