Some fans have complained that he is too lightweight, but Laws believes that he has the ability to succeed in the game.
"People forget that the lad is only 19-years-old and has played only about 10 games in the Football League," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph yesterday.
"He's a young lad who can be affected by criticism. We need supporters to get behind him and help him to find his feet at this level."
