Scunthorpe fans ran onto the field when Swindon scored, as an altercation developed between the two sets of fans in the Clugston corner of the ground.
One man was tackled to the ground by police, whilst the others avoided arrest.
There was also an ugly stand off in the car park in which bottles were thrown as mounted police tried to keep the fans apart.
A spokeswoman for Humberside Police today said: "There was an element of disruption at the Scunthorpe United versus Swindon game on Saturday, April 27 with a small number of people entering the pitch during the game and after the match some disorder outside the ground and in the stadium car park.
"Police were on duty at the match and additional resources were called in due to the atmosphere within the ground during the game."
