Scunthorpe's reserve striker Peter Winn has suffered an ankle injury while playing on loan for Blue Square Premier side Gateshead.
He suffered the injury in Gateshead's 1-1 draw with Mansfield Town on Tuesday night and needs crutches to walk. The Iron said they do not know how long he will be out of action for.
Winn has scored twice in nine appearances for the North-East side.
