"We haven't got a vocal crowd that are going to produce an intimidating atmosphere. We have got to utilise the familiarity of playing at home to our advantage", he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
Adkins has insisted the players will do everything they can to get the Scunthorpe faithful behind them in the final run in for the play off positions.
"We have got to try to play at a high tempo and try to make it entertaining for the supporters, to give them something to cheer about", he added.
