He was forced into five changes ahead of the midweek clash with Cheltenham but is hoping to have a near full squad to choose from when Tranmere visit Glanford Park in the climax to the League One season.
United need to avoid defeat to secure a play-off place, if they lose then the visitors will go through at their expense.
Adkins confirmed that Henri Lansbury will be at Glanford Park but after leaving the field on Tuesday on a stretcher, after an ugly tackle by Spurs loanee Yuri Berchiche, it may only be to say goodbye to the supporters.
"It is very unlikely he will be unavailable for selection but he can say goodbye to the supporters in the right manner", he said.
He also confirmed that David Mirfin is raring to go and could be included in the starting line up.
"There is no fracture and it's David's desire to be fit for Saturday," he added.
"Kenny Milne is out and Henri is likely to be out, but everybody else is itching to be involved"
