With the new shirt for the 2013/04 season adopting a claret and blue striped design, many fans have suggested to Iron director Dennis Hobson via twitter and the Iron-Bru.net messageboard that they would be in favour of a switch to the old crest.
The Unity fist was replaced by the town's coat of arms in 1990, before the current 3D logo was introduced in 1994.
